Otter Creek Hop Session Review:
Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 1/16/13
Aroma: It has fairly hoppy nose: the hops are mostly resiny, fairly dank, with grassy and pine notes
Appearance: Pours a hazy golden-orange color with a small head and some sticky white lace
Flavor: Tastes lightly sweet, with a medium bitterness similar to the dank, resiny hops from the nose
Palate: The body is medium (leaning light), with a sticky, chewy feel, and a fairly dry finish
Overall Impression: This one was certainly better than I expected. There’s some little flaws in there (just little one, but they kept the score from being higher). Overall though, I quite enjoyed this one. I’m very in favor of sessionable hoppy beers, and this is a solid one. Could be a great outdoor/tailgate beer.
